We are pleased to announce that registration for free places at our evening presentation to the British Computer Society SM-ITAM specialist group in London are now open for in person and online attendance.
Sometimes we need to agree what common sense is – as otherwise we create problems that impact ICT management and project delivery.
As an example, spaghetti cabling is a bad thing, but maybe there needs to be a standard that explains it well enough that ICT teams will always avoid it by more efficient and effective processes. Why not use the same name for an application in the systems documentation as well as the software library? Why do we have 15 CMDBs? If only there was more joined up thinking… The TIA started developing the TIA TR-60 life cycle management framework of standards covering ICT life cycle management a few years ago and 2024 should see the release of the first standard – Information management of ICT infrastructure.
David will give an insight into how projects, operations, service and risk processes will benefit from more common… common sense. Laughing is allowed during this talk.
